It is time to rock out with the Josie Loves J. Valentine Collection by J. Valentine, featuring Josie Stevens. We got together with Brian Vasquez, J. Valentine‘s Media and Marketing department, to get exclusive information about this hot line that hundreds of thousands of people are dying to get juicy information on what Josie was like to work with and how J. Valentine came up with the idea to release the Josie Loves J. Valentine costume line. Read on to hear the AMAZING story that even we fell in love with!
Everyone loves Josie Stevens! It is no wonder why! This sexy model and wife of rock guitarist, Steve Stevens, has been on magazine covers, TV series, has done modeling for Playboy, and even does hair and make-up for Steve Stevens himself for all his tours and appearances. You may be familiar with Josie from watching E!’s “Married To Rock”. As a matter of fact, this is when J. Valentine first became fans of Josie.
“Her zany personality was something that we would appreciate and loved about her!” quoted Brian. “Working with Josie Stevens was an incredible experience for everybody here at J. Valentine, Inc. Especially since the thought of working on a collaboration project with a television celebrity or personalty had never really crossed our minds in the past.”
When asking Brian how they came up with the idea to do the ‘Josie Loves J. Valentine‘ line, he responded, “On several occasions during the show we noticed Josie wearing our outfits and soon learned that she had been a long time fan of our clothing line. Shortly after “Married to Rock” aired, Josie Stevens contacted us regarding an outfit that she had not been able to locate but loved. Sadly, it just so happened to be an outfit that we no longer produced. Josie was completely unaware of the fact that we knew who she was, or that we were already big fans of both her and Steve Stevens. So without any hesitation we happily made the outfit especially for her”.
It was at that point that a great friendship between Josie and J. Valentine developed. J. Valentine then invited both Josie and Steve Stevens to join them at the upcoming March 2011 International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas. Josie and Steve happily accepted to their delight and caused quite a stir with their fans at the surprise visit.
“It was a great experience spending time with them at the ILS,” said Brian.
Soon after the International Lingerie Show had passed both Judy Valentine and Josie Stevens felt a special connection that lead to the idea of a collaboration which you have now come to know as “Josie Loves J. Valentine“.
Josie Loves J Valentine is currently a 34-piece collection of club wear, day wear, bikinis, costumes, lingerie & accessories, designed by Brian & J Valentine. The collection is based on 3 specific looks- “kawaii” which is Japanese for cute and obviously influenced by the street fashion of Japan and all things adorable, “rock” which is the sexy spiked, fringed and leather pieces & “Sci-fi” which is the sexy space age designs, influenced by atomic age mod, Barbarella, and the sexy bombshell vixens of the 60s… The great thing about starting with such a big collection is that J. Valentine was able to do a bit of everything- pants & leggings, jackets, corsets, halter tops, skirts, gowns, dresses, bikinis, tank tops, vests, shorts, tutus, and more! J. Valentine also did these incredible Cage Skirts and halter tops (one of our personal favorites here at Sexy-Halloween-Costumes.com) that are super hot layering pieces with the dresses and tutus or can be worn alone for a super sexy look. Brian and Sexy-Halloween-Costumes also love that a lot of the pieces are super versatile. As a stylist and someone who lives out of a suitcase on tour half the year, Brian loves pieces you can wear a million ways and in a ton of different styles– dress them up, dress them down, switch from day to night, go from cutesy to sexy, etc. For example, the Josie Loves J.
